Ideally, the RN Night Shift Med Surg Nurse will hold or be willing to obtain their Compact or Tennessee RN license, and offer at least 1 year of direct patient care experience working in a medical surgical unit. 

Responsibilities of the RN Night Shift Med Surg Nurse will include assessing, evaluating, monitoring, and treating patients in the medical surgical department. Additionally, the RN Night Shift Med Surg Nurse will serve as an educational resource for the patients, their families, and new-hire department staff. Working alongside a team of highly specialized RN and LPN nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff allows the RN to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when developing individualized patient care treatment plans.
