As a Consultant, you’ll work with clients to provide hands-on support in designing, administering, and communicating their strategic benefit programs, as well as guidance to ensure compliance. This includes strategic planning and development of benefit strategies, coordinating and negotiating renewals, preparing materials for client meetings, managing key deliverables and project timelines, and fulfilling other assigned responsibilities.


  • Project management for key processes and deliverables to support meeting deadlines.
  • Vendor management and oversight.
  • Review and analysis of benefit plans and available options.
  • Detailed oversight to ensure accuracy of carrier contracts, benefit communications, and other materials.
  • Proficiency in all plans and products in the assigned book of business and support of team initiatives.
  • Development, modification, and finalization of professional presentations, written communications, and other documents.
  • Collaboration with internal resources and specialty teams to ensure client needs are met and actions comply with regulations.
  • Ongoing education to ensure an understanding of market trends, product developments, and compliance requirements.

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in employee benefits and client service.
  • Health/Life Certifications & Licensure or obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of employee welfare plans, including management of fully insured and self-insured plans.
  • Sound understanding of current health insurance regulations, including ACA, CAA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
