Doggy Daycare Pack Leader

Position Summary: The Doggy Daycare Pack Leader works in a dynamic and fast paced environment managing dogs of all sizes and temperaments in a safe manner.

• Keep Daycare areas clean and free of obstructions and hazards.

• Keep pet belongings well organized.

• Feed dogs and bathe dogs.

• Greet clients in a professional and friendly manner.

• Maintain records of pets and reports of behaviors and incidents.

• Utilize our computer software, Gingr, to manage pet reservations and check pets in and out.

• Cross-train in other departments.

• Safety is the primary focus of this position.

• Daily Cleaning and Maintenance of daycare facilities.

• Using your best judgment and training to meet safety requirements and facilitate pack play.

• Maintain a friendly, positive, and helpful attitude with pets, clients, and co-workers.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.

Mathematical Ability:

Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Ability to use basic computer programs such as word. Familiarity with Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive. Ability to learn and utilize our computer software, Gingr, on a daily basis to check-in, check-out, retrieve and enter relevant information as necessary.

Employee will work an 8-hour shift. Job will be performed in climate-controlled building with multiple dogs, as well as outdoors in a secured, fenced area. Employee will work alone and with team mates to facilitate client and pet care in a collaborative environment.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. The employee will be in contact with dogs for much of their work period. Employee will be exposed to pet waste and expected to clean up pet waste. Employee may be exposed to dog or cat fluids in the course of their work. Employee will utilize cleaning agents in their daily duties. The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
