Wave & Selective Solder Machine Operator

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for adjusting, setting, and operating Wave Solder and Selective Solder machines per job order.
• Setup responsibilities include but not limited to board recipe preheat temperature, conveyor speed, wave height, wave machine repeatability and maintenance.
• Inspects in-process parts to ensure quality meets requirements and identifies quality issues.
• Monitor circuit boards through the entire process.
• Load proper parts into machine and filling solder pot.
• Follow ESD guidelines and principles.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Previous experience operating and setting up Wave Solder and Selective Solder machines.
• Basic reading, writing skills required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and hand-tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct simple mechanical problems.
• Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
• Good communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 13485, ESD, SPC & IPC-A-610
• Knowledge of circuit board assembly.

Additional Notes

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Salary range

$17.00 to $19.00. The salary range for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of knowledge, experience, and qualifications.
