Avventura Bakery & Deli in Southington, CT is looking for a COOK, a DELI EXTRAORDINAIRE, and a CASHIER to join our strong team. We are located at 30 Knotter Dr. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.

DELI CLERK:

Job Description: As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their deli needs. You will prepare and serve a variety of deli items, such as sandwiches, salads, and meats, while maintaining cleanliness and safety in the deli area.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers with a friendly smile and assist them in selecting deli products
Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and other deli specialties according to customer preferences
Maintain deli equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality
Follow proper food safety and handling procedures to ensure the quality and freshness of products
Keep the deli area clean and organized, including restocking shelves and arranging displays

Requirements:

Previous experience in a deli or food service environment is a plus
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures

COOK:

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals, ensuring high-quality standards and satisfaction for our customers. Your culinary skills combined with a positive attitude will contribute to a memorable meal experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and quality standards
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following hygiene and safety guidelines
Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring timely food preparation

Requirements:

Previous experience as a cook or chef is preferred
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
Ability to work well under pressure and in a team
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Food safety certification is a plus

CASHIER
