Summary: Member of the Audia IT team reporting to the Infrastructure Manager. Ensures global availability of multi-user computer systems by monitoring, analyzing, and tuning physical and virtual machines. Troubleshoots systems problems and escalates as required. Ensures uptime, performance, resources, and security of shared systems. Acquires, installs, upgrades, and updates servers and software. Responsible for building new systems by conferring with supervisors, coworkers, and users and analyzing requirements. Plans and executes the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fully manage the installation, configuration optimization and troubleshooting of all aspects of Windows, VMware ESXi & Linux servers
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux and Windows servers
  • Manage and monitor shared systems and respond immediately to availability and security problems.
  • Troubleshoot systems performance issues involving Linux and Windows servers.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts with Microsoft Exchange 2016, & 2019.
  • Initiate and manage systems projects to add functionality required to achieve organizational goals.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts with Microsoft Clustering.
  • Support the daily function of the IT environment.
  • Work with the IT team to create and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Recommend and install upgrades, patches, applications, and equipment to ensure security and availability
  • Provide technical support for software issues related to shared systems
  • Maintain currency on best practices and new technology
  • Expected to perform duties in compliance with defined quality management system requirements
  • Consistently install, configure, test, and manage equipment so that it securely functions as intended in line with quality management.
  • Some travel (10%) required

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field, or Associate’s Degree with experience
  • Five Years of systems administration experience – manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Linux and/or comparable Linux
  • Knowledge of VMware products in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of Windows server
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of Remote Desktop and remote App implementations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2016 & upgrading to 2019
  • Experience managing large and complex server environments
  • Ability to complete work with minimal supervision
  • Strong critical thinking, diagnostic, and communication skills
  • Cultural awareness to work in a global organization
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Ability to assist in resolving emergencies outside of the standard business day
