Position Overview:

We are looking for a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to help us maintain and promote excellent oral hygiene for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist at NJ Smile Care, you will play a crucial role in patient care, providing preventive dental services and educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health. Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis
• Conduct thorough oral assessments and charting
• Take digital dental X-rays as needed
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized home care instructions
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures when required
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Keep accurate patient records
• Uphold infection control protocols and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ state dental hygiene license
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Proficiency in using dentrix software for charting and record-keeping
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Experience with digital radiography is a plus
