Legal Operations Specialist

Reporting to Team Lead of Legal Operations, or designee, the Specialist - Legal Operations is responsible for working within the stream of legal operations which can include prejudgment remedies, judgements, post judgement remedies, and/or logistics process work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Issues and enters suits, services, judgements, and post judgements which includes, but is not limited to, data entry of client information specific to individual states into the collection software system.
• Researches websites and makes phone calls to courts to follow up on the status of cases.
• Works cross-functionally with all areas of Legal Operations to investigate errors.
• Works with state level Attorneys to ensure all documents are prepared accurately and filed timely.
• Assists with follow up calls on post judgment remedies.
• Proofreads all documents assigned for preparation, to ensure all formatting and criteria are correct.
• Processes mail daily and ensures all information received is updated properly in the collection software system.
• Scans, copies, prints, and redacts legal documents.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Hybrid remote in Brookfield, WI 53005

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Being results driven and customer focused are requirements of the position as well as having the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple work assignments.
• Strong attention to detail while providing a high quality work result is critical.

Education and Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma (or GED).
• Prefer one to three years of experience and familiarity with legal terminology; however, will provide on the job training.
• Experience in the Microsoft Suite of products is required.
