Job Description
The purpose of the position agreement is to set job requirements and expectations, so we can hold you accountable, and you can hold the company accountable for your growth, training, and overall experience with us.
Job Title: Foreman
Classification: Non Exempt
Wage Range: ~$30 per hour + eligible for overtime
Reports to: Superintendant
Work Environment: You will be working in a physically demanding environment at times, to include outside in the Arizona summer heat, in attics, on roofs, inside of buildings, and in the company shop
Expected Hours of Work: Normally, our starting time is around 7am and we end the day between 3pm-4pm. This can vary dramatically in the Summer months.
Travel: You will normally be traveling to and from job sites, the office, supply houses, etc.
Preferred Education & Experience: Extensive HVAC install experience is required. You will serve as a leader and mentor for your crew, with specific responsibility for the execution of job site leadership, safety, cleanliness, and progression of job site production.
The following tasks are specific to the HVAC Foreman role:
Have a distinct understanding of all job requirements and expectations of people within your crew: Commercial Install Apprentice, and Commercial Installer
Execute basic vehicle setup, and have your vehicle structured, inventoried, and cleaned on a frequent basis
Responsible for maintenance schedule of company vehicle: timely oil changes, tire rotations, etc
Have a complete set of Basic Tools to execute your job.
Understand the Lee Collins story and be able to communicate this to clients/general contractors as appropriate
Develop proficiency in using the Servicetitan database to accurately clock your time, those of your crew, to note relevant job information, to read plans, etc
Understand how to use the Paylocity site to manage your sick time and vacation time and those of your crew
Respond to administrative tasks such as reading and acknowledging Employee Handbook and managing medical plan enrollment as needed
Valid Drivers License. If your drivers license becomes suspended or not valid, you are required to immediately notify your supervisor
EPA Card
Complete ownership and leadership of job site setup, cleanup, and exit
Ability to communicate with General Contractor job site leadership to execute the daily tasks of the job and progress the job forward
Purchase job material from vendors as necessary, collecting receipts, and noting any purchases in ServiceTitan systems along with relevant usage of purchase orders
Ability to lead, delegate, and communicate with your team
Read plans and blueprints in its entirety
Communicate required fabrication schedule
Cut in curbs
Place equipment
*** As job site Foreman, you have ultimate and complete responsibility for your crew and for progression of the job. Leadership, attention to detail, communication is absolutely required on a daily basis to execute this role.
