Anesthesia Assistant

Objectives of this Role

• To provide quality care for both elective and emergency surgeries as designated by the Anesthesiology Physician.
• To use all common methods to render the patient insensitive to pain during an operative procedure and to support life functions while anesthesia is being administered. 
• To provide competent and appropriate preanesthetic and postanesthetic management of the patient.
• Provide consultation relative to various other forms of patient care, such as respiratory therapy and emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation and special problems of pain relief.

Skills and Qualifications

• Current Anesthesia Assistant license in the State of Indiana
• CPR certification
