Part Time Housekeeper

Essential Functions:

Will meet or exceed all relevant performances standards which include quality of work, productivity (guidelines set for minutes per room), technical knowledge, communication, teamwork, leadership, project management skills and standards of conduct.

Able to stock housekeeping carts with appropriate supplies for the shift. Cleans entire bedroom area according to established procedures.

Cleans entire bathroom area according to established procedures. Replenishes all guest room supplies according to established procedures. Reports all repairs needed in guestrooms to the Executive Housekeeper.

Brings all left items from vacant/checked out rooms to the Housekeeping Office. Reports the status of the rooms as they are completed to the Executive Housekeeper. Returns equipment and supplies to the proper storage areas.

Follows proper safety, security and hospitality procedures.

Performs other related duties as requested by the Executive Housekeeper or General Manager to better the department or hotel.

Job Training:

Brand Standard Training Requirements- 60 day completion with 6 month working knowledge.

On the job training requirements- 2 week completion with 90 day (probationary period) working knowledge.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Communication – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other staff members.

Reasoning Ability – Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations and the ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.

Creativity – Ability to be innovative and identify opportunities for improvement and problem resolution in a diverse and complex business environment.

Experience – Equivalent work experience necessary.

Physical – Must be able to work in a fast steady motion. Must be able to sit, stand, bend and kneel. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to move quickly from room to room. Must be able to lift up to but not limited to 20lbs.
