Job Description
Job Duties Include being responsible for giving assistance and/or training to residents in basic activities of living and with ISP goals, monitor health conditions of residents, maintain environment of the clients to provide safe, clean and healthy atmosphere, participate in a minimum of 24 hours of annual in-service training. Participation in community outings with residents, responsible for compliance to facility policies and procedures, administer prescribed medications, document client progress on indicated forms, report and document significant incidents using appropriate form and procedures, assist in preparation and service of nutritional sound meals, attend and/or provide input to Planning Team conference meetings and other general duties as assigned by Facility Manager or Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 yrs. of age. Must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with developmentally disabled/physically disabled individuals preferably in a residential setting. Preference will be given to those who have experience working with behavior modification programs. Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment health, drug and criminal clearances prior to hire.
Certification required:
DSP I & II
CPR & First Aid
In addition to resident treatment and care, research in various aspects of developmental disabilities treatment and training of professional and para-professional staff will have an important role in the facility. Most importantly, research and training will serve to enhance the treatment and care available to facility residents, while also serving the needs of the regional center and the community at large.

Residents will be given ample opportunities to actively integrate within the community and to participate in activities with their non-disabled peers. This will be done by designing and implementing individual service plans that will enable each resident to function at their maximum self-help, emotional, physical, cognitive, social and educational level.
