Respiratory Therapist

Are you a Respiratory Therapist looking to bring in extra income? We are a medical equipment provider looking for a Respiratory Therapist to conduct cpap set ups in our office at least one or two days a week.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Be able to set up and operate devices such as CPAP and BiPAP machines.

· Instruct patients on proper use and cleaning of respiratory equipment.

· Fit patient with cpap mask and other supplies.

· Read prescriptions, review and input patient information to ensure patient qualifies for equipment.

· Verify with insurance specialist about patient insurance eligibility, deductible and copayments before dispensing equipment to a patient.

· Help staff perform follow-up consultations with patients to evaluate effectiveness of treatment.

· Help staff monitor patient’s responses to therapy and consult with provider regarding outcomes, if needed.

· Enforce safety rules and ensure careful adherence to providers’ orders.

· Ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

· Provide emergency care, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation if needed.

*Must be licensed Respiratory Therapist in Nebraska
