Psychiatrist wanted in Walla Walla

The Walla Walla VA Medical Center is looking to hire a highly motivated Psychiatrist to join our Dynamic team.  The staff physician (psychiatry) is assigned to the Mental Health Service, providing comprehensive, efficient, compassionate, high-quality healthcare to all patients, functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing clinical care to the patients. Staff Psychiatrist's responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation and treatment in collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Major duties include but may not be limited to:

• Individual psychotherapy services.
• Group psychotherapy services.
• Medication assessment and management.
• Consultation with other medical and nursing providers on psychiatric issues.
• Behavioral interventions.
• Facilitation of referrals to Behavioral Health Service programs for patients in need of specialized services.

Work Schedule:  8:00-4:30 with an option for a compressed schedule
