Tool Room Technician

Job Summary:

The tooling technician is responsible for the functionality of all the injection molding molds. This will include maintaining a PM schedule, repairs during production runs and minor engineering changes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain all molds.
• Maintain a PM schedule, working with the production scheduler of all molds.
• Repairs as needed for mold during and postproduction.
• Suggest mold improvement opportunities.

Preferred Skills:

• 3 plus years injection molding tool and die repair experience.
• Capable of operating manual tools such as lathe, mill, surface grinder and other hand tools
• Understands and can use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Capable of troubleshooting hot runner controls and components
• Capable of reading technical documents such as blueprints and CAD/CAM drawings/software
• Capable of creating spare parts list of components for molds
• Welding experience with molds, shut offs and parting lines.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 3-year previous experience in similar role
