Job Description
We are looking for candidates who are blue print literate and have a strong understanding of projects, design, concepts and electrical theory. We are looking for those who are able to effectively communicate, listen, learn and lead. Please Note:
Benefits, Rate of Pay and Employment type (Part Time-Full Time-Temp.) will be reviewed at the time of the interview.
We are currently seeking candidates to fill the following roles:
1. Journeyman Electrician
2. Apprentice/Trainee
1. JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN:
Requirements:
· Valid and active Journeyman Electrician certification within California
· Experience performing electrical upgrades for Prevailing Wage Projects
· Experience performing commercial service upgrades and repair work
· Understand and have a command of commercial utility and AHJ requirements surround
· Electrical service change/ Upgrade work/ Strong electrical knowledge and background
· Ability to lift 50 lbs
· Possess a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
· Schedule and coordinate electrical work to be installed with customers/clients, utilities, and inspectors.
· Understand and acquire required electrical materials needed for job installation and place orders from warehouse suppliers.
· Read and interpret plans and specifications to understand project scope.
· Communicate effectively with clients, onsite and office team members, utilities, and AHJ’s
· Direct and inform the activities of the Apprentice on site, for training purposes and effectively communicate the directions given.
· Replace electrical service equipment.
· Comply with OSHA safety requirements, Administrative report records, policies and procedures.
· Ensure all circuitry has been restored to its proper working order.
· Ensure the quality of the service replacement meets craftsmanship standards and is fully code compliant.
· Troubleshoot electrical systems and value engineer alternative installations as needed.
2. APPRENTICE / TRAINEE
Requirements:
· Follows directions and understands the reasoning for the direction given
· Understanding of tools required to perform tasks
· Electrical service change/ Upgrade work/ Strong electrical knowledge and background
· Ability to lift 50lbs
· Possess a valid driver’s license
· Experience performing electrical upgrades for Prevailing Wage Projects
· Experience performing commercial service upgrades and repair work
Key Duties:
· Understand and acquire required electrical materials needed for job installation and place orders from warehouse suppliers.
· Read and interpret plans and specifications to understand project scope.
· Communicate effectively with clients, onsite and office team members, utilities, and AHJ’s
· Work directly with the on-site PM/JM/Team Lead
· Follow directions provided by the on-site lead, confirm understanding of directions and execute task accurately.
· Replace electrical service equipment.
· Comply with OSHA safety requirements, Administrative report records, policies and procedures.
· Ensure all circuitry has been restored to its proper working order.
· Ensure the quality of the service replacement meets craftsmanship standards and is fully code compliant.
· Troubleshoot electrical systems and value engineer alternative installations as needed.
Preferences:
· 2 Years experience in Commercial Electrical Work
