Plant Manager

Plant Manager shall oversee compliance and regulatory requirements for product quality, product compliance (such as NFPA Standards) and all company and factory policies such as but not limited to EH&S, OSHA and ISO regulations. The managers responsibilities include maintaining a clean & safe work environment while managing all supervisors, new hires, training, production needs, materials, labor, overhead and plant financials.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities – Multi-task with several priorities and able to lift up to 30 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, have good, clear and concise written and oral communications and travel, albeit minimally.

• Required: Knowledge of local applicable state labor and business laws and ability to implement, follow policies and assure compliance.
• Required: 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing at a plant management level.
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in related field, accounting and or finance.
• Business background in budgeting & forecasting, including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is desirable.
• Preferred experience with piece rate manufacturing, and use of SAP.

Supervisory, Accountability, Compliance

1. Supervises all department managers, office manager, warehouse, mechanic, and shipping supervisor.
2. Establishes team and individual accountability, while engaging with employees for best performance and appraisals.
3. Fosters a positive work environment and helps maintain good morale with all employees.
4. Encourages innovation and new product development for sales and problem solving, with all employees.
5. Oversee factory & product compliance to OSHA, NFPA, CE and ISO Standards: including audits, negotiations, and corrective actions.

Financials

1. Evaluates and reviews plant’s monthly financial statement.
2. Manages the plants budget and full P & L responsibilities.
3. Manages inventories of materials, WIP and finished goods.

Costs, Workflow, Quality & Attitude

1. Constantly maintains an effective production increase incentive system.
2. Computes accurate factory standard costs and helps set up new materials and new products.
3. Manages factory production efficiencies and expenses reflected on plants financial statements.
4. Responsible for reports including forecasting, scheduling, workflow, direct & indirect labor, just to name a few.
5. Instill a Top-Quality attitude that’s visible in the plant and in finished products.
