PMC Commercial Interiors, a Best In Class Haworth dealer serving the Carolinas, is seeking qualified
Commercial Furniture Installers to join our growing Operations Team.
Our Installation Team Members are highly valued members of our team who are responsible for delivery and assembly of the many products that PMC represents, maintaining quality standards for professionalism, teamwork, installation guidelines, attendance, and customer service.
In addition, this position is required to take direction, support, and training from the Installation Supervisor to ensure quality and consistency to our customers. This person must possess strong mechanical and construction skills and the ability to communicate well, both orally and written, in one on one and group settings.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible to complete deliveries and installations on schedule and within budget.
Responsible for the communication with the customer on deliveries and keeping them informed.
Maintain company procedures, policies, safety procedures and ensure compliance to PMC Work Standards at all times.
Perform the delivery function when not assigned to an installation.
Responsible to have and maintain the required tools.
Spend 100% of the time in the field, as part of the crew or training.
Participate in working overtime to meet customer commitments.
General Responsibilities
Assist with the general responsibilities of the installation as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
Provide daily job status to the Installation Supervisor for assigned tasks.
Maintain professional and courteous attitude at all times, including following Company policies, dress code, and
Experience/Skills:
Assembly skills.
Experience with product moving equipment as well as basic hand and power tools.
Ability to take direction from Installation Supervisors and work successfully with other installers and contractors.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, technical instructions, operating / maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Experience in installation of varying size projects preferred.
Other requirements:
Valid driver’s license (must maintain in good standing).
E-Verify compliance.
Ability to satisfactorily pass pre-employment background check (criminal and DMV) and maintain satisfactory status.
Ability to pass and maintain DOT certification.
Availability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as customer commitments warrant it.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds – moving, unloading, etc.
On time attendance to work and all meetings.
