The City of Peoria's Neighborhood and Human Services department is hiring for their Am/Pm Before and After School program. Peoria's Youth Programs provides childcare at 22 elementary school locations. The Am/Pm program is licensed by the Department of Health Services, offered at Peoria United School District Elementary campuses for students ages 5-14. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare provider to collaborate with school personnel to develop a growing program. You will supervise and monitor children in your care by actively participating with them through play and staff led enrichment, such as literacy, arts and crafts, and STEAM projects. If you have a passion for working with children, this job is for you!
The ideal candidate for this position will be able to:
- Implement the execution of an activity, event or program with some direction
- Supervise and monitor children in your care by actively participating with them
- Enjoys fast-paced schedule and the opportunity to make a difference
- ALL employees are required to work the July 4th Special Event in the summer
