Pool Technician Trainee - Full-time

Career opportunity with Mechanicsville based family pool business!  Pla-Mor Pools has been making poolside living fun since 1968!  We currently have openings for Lead technicians and Jr Technicians to join our service team! 

Senior technician role requires 1-3 years pool service experience.  Position and pay commensurate upon experience.  Vinyl pool renovation and auto cover technician positions are available. We provide paid CST certification.   

Jr. Technician position does not require prior pool experience, but mechanical ability is a must.  You will learn everything .  Previous plumbing, construction or electrical experience are a plus.  Experienced candidates will start at a higher pay range, commensurate upon experience and skill level.  Must have a good driving record and the ability to lift minimum 50lbs overhead, unassisted. 

 Responsibilities of Jr. Technician: 

• Open and close pools 
• Pool pump and filter replacements
• Sand changes 
• Beginner plumbing or repair work
• Oversee responsibilities of Assistant Tech
• Communicate with customers 
• Responsibilities as assigned 

Description: 

A Jr. Technician candidate will begin as a trainee and work directly with a senior technician in a 2-3 week paid training intensive.  With successful completion of training, you will have the  opportunity to move into a Jr. technician position.  In order to succeed in this role you will need to be a quick learner, be able to oversee and ensure the quality workmanship of you and your tech helper and communicate professionally and effectively with customers and your supervisor. 

Schedule: 

• Your day will start around 7:00 am at our home base (7225 Bell Creek Road, Suite 238).  The typical work day ends between 3 to 4PM. 

Advancement: 

With extensive on the job training, dependent upon performance, you will have the ability to advance into a lead technician role within two to three years.  Your position is the first step towards becoming a certified pool service technician (CST).
