Coastal Eye Care has a full-time opportunity for an ophthalmologist to join our 2 MD state-of-the-art practice with ASC in coastal downeast Maine and have an immediate impact in our community!

  • Join an established 29-year practice with strong referral network of community ODs and PCPs.
  • Great work-life balance - enjoy Friday afternoons off!
  • Immediately available volume of 10 cataracts per week in the first year, with significant growth expected in subsequent years and beyond.
  • Surgical volume available includes cataract surgeries, YAG, LPI, and SLT procedures, with opportunities to develop full glaucoma or cornea service.
  • $400k Guaranteed first year salary and $50k sign-on bonus. With opportunity to participate in production bonuses including the ASC to approach an additional $100k in year 2.
  • Additional unmet patient demand available for Cornea and/or Glaucoma fellowship-trained candidates if applicable.
  • Clinic with 10 exam rooms; equipment includes iTrace, Zeiss OCT, Argos biometer, LAL IOL Light Delivery Device, ORA Wavetec - Fully equipped for premium IOLS. Highly experienced tech pool with scribe support.
  • Highly efficient ASC in the same building as clinic.
  • No hospital or ER call.

Eligible candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible and hold an active Maine medical license (or willing to obtain upon employment offer).
