Holzer Health System is seeking an additional BE/BC AP/CP Pathologist to join our team.

Practice Profile:
- Nine Clinical Pathology Laboratory Sites within the counties of Gallia, Jackson, Athens, and Meigs, OH as well as Mason County, West Virginia
- Medical directorship of laboratory sites is shared between Pathologists
- CLIA and CAP or COLA accredited labs
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Workload:
- Surgical: 15-20 cases/day per Pathologist
- Specimens include: biopsies, excision, and resections, head and neck area, GI tract, GU tract, Skin, Lung Pathology, Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes, Bone and Soft Tissue
- Gynecological Cytology: 10-15 cases/day (Thin Prep)
- Non-Gynecological Cytology: 5-8 cases/day
- Full-time cytotechnologists employed to perform initial screening of cytology specimens
Overview of Position Responsibilities:
- Interpreting Surgical and Cytology specimens daily
- Grossing of Specimens (histologists perform grossing of small specimens)
- Frozen Sections Procedures
- Immunohistochemistry/Special Stains
- Tumor Board/Cancer Center Committee participation
- Medical Directorship for Site Location Labs
- Involvement in/and performing CAP Inspections
- Teaching Residents/Medical Students as needed
Preferences for the Position:
- Good working knowledge of anatomic pathology, cytopathology, and immunohistochemistry.
- Experienced in hematopathology and blood bank is a plus
