Full-Time Hospitalist opportunity in Alexandria Bay, NY

NES Health seeks a Full-Time Hospitalist Medicine Physician to join our practice at River Hospital located in Alexandria Bay, New York. 

About the Hospital 

• 24 Bed Critical Access Hospital 
• 7 Post Acute Care Beds 
• Meditech Expanse EMR 

Coverage includes:

• Radiology
• Hospitalist

About the Program and Hours 

• HM Physician rounds on acute, post-acute, and nursing home beds. 
• Average HM pt encounters per day: 7 
• EM APP covers the floor at night and will write bridge admitting orders. 
• HM Physician is on-call at night and must be able to come to the hospital within 20 minutes.  Can get called in for floor patient issues. 
• HM Physician provides oversight to the EM APP. 
• HM Physician helps, as needed, the EM APP during ED volume surges and/or procedures. 
• HM Physician must come back to the hospital at night for any CTs with contrast 
• Hospital has on-site call room. 

Qualifications 

• Active New York license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license 
• Candidate Must be BE/BC in IM or HM 
• Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS and PALS  
• Advanced procedure and airway management skills and comfort 
• Must be comfortable with PED pts. 
• While on-call, must be able to return to hospital within 20 minutes
