Family Medicine - Torrington, CT

M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited school. Documented completion of a residency from an accredited institution in an appropriate specialty.  Board certification or Board eligibility desirable.  Current  licensure in State of Connecticut. Valid Federal and State Controlled Substance Licenses.

 

Experience in primary care setting preferred. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.  Interest in serving low income-multicultural populations. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.  Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.  Ability to identify and categorize each patients age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent or geriatric patients.  The ability to establish and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers, and to function in a calm manner during stressful and emergency situations. Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to changing clinical or administrative environments.  Must have valid drivers license from State of residence.  Must be able to transport oneself within the service area.
