St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (SEMC) is seeking a Chair of Anesthesia to join our clinical and academic leadership program as we grow our facility into an American College of Surgeons Verified Level II trauma center. 

In addition to being board certified in Anesthesia, the ideal candidate will have previous leadership responsibilities and experience in a collaborative team approach to patient care, teaching and scholarly activity. This dynamic, leadership-oriented individual will lead a team of approximately 20 full-time clinical FTEs, as well as oversee an ACGME-accredited categorical anesthesiology training program with four trainees in PGYs 1-4.  An individual with interest in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment is highly desirable.  An academic appointment within the Boston University School of Medicine, at a rank commensurate with experience and academic accomplishment, is available to candidates for the chair position.
