We proudly consider ourselves (and clients do too) the "go-to" environmental firm. Pinyon is seeking an enthusiastic Office Leader to help Pinyon diversify in the Arizona market. This individual would drive strategic growth, develop and forge new relationships with prospective clients and support relationships with current clients in the new area and, when team members join the office, mentor staff and be the culture champion. This person must be excited about the challenge of growing and diversifying an office entails; must have the highest degree of integrity, exhibited by meeting Pinyon's core values; be a proven leader; be a proven seller/doer; and be a go-getter, deliberate and thoughtful, and client-centric. The ideal candidate would be the face of Pinyon in this community and be a contributing member of that community. The ideal candidate must be willing to take on the challenge and responsibility that this investment entails and be a "finisher." The ideal candidate would be fully supported by staff in the Lakewood and Phoenix offices and is not expected to "go it alone." The ideal candidate will have a technical background in one or more of our service areas (engineering, geology, biology, environmental planning, cultural resources, industrial hygiene, etc.) and would be expected to manage projects within their expertise, complete technical reviews, manage clients and build relationships, support and/or lead on business development efforts (proposals, scope and fees, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an environmental discipline (e.g., environmental science, geology, biology, environmental planning, environmental engineering, etc.).
*5-10 years of environmental consulting experience.
*A proven seller/doer and demonstrate the ability to develop a strategic plan with clearly defined goals and metrics, and ability to follow through.
*Ability to develop and foster relationships, including internally at Pinyon, and externally with clients, partners, and the community.
*Experience in project management.
*Ability and aptitude to identify problems and translate those problems into opportunities.
*Ability to work and excel in a team setting, but also work independently.
*Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) are required.
*Effective in high pressure-situations and managing various tasks simultaneously.
*Strong critical thinking and problem solving is essential.
*Strong organizational, technical writing, and effective communication skills are required.
*Employment is contingent upon the results of a background check.
