System Engineer, Level III

The Puyenpa family of companies are comprised of multiple SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations focused on delivering Information Technology, Management Consulting, and General Construction solutions to the Federal Government along with the Commercial Sector. We are actively seeking a Senior System Engineer, Level III based in Columbia, MD. This will be a Full time, onsite role. This position requires an active Top Secret SCI Full Scope Polygraph.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting the (IC) Intelligence Community. The main responsibilities of the role include: Salary is DOE.

• System Engineer III Analyzes users requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.

• Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.

• Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.

• Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.

• Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.

• Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, Government overseers, and senior executives.

Professional Experience:

• Twelve (12) years experience in technical program management and/or system development team lead. At least 50% of experience shall be related to SIGINT. Communications Systems. or Information Technology.

• Ten ( 10) years experience as a system engineer in programs that encompassed systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production. integration. test and transition to operations.

• Five (5) years experience of system engineering in an intelligence community environment.

Certification and Training:
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Software Engineering. Electrical Engineering, or other related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. May substitute 4 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
