POSITION SUMMARY
Carnitas El Artista is a family owned restaurant that takes pride in great food, great service, and a great overall experience. As the Cashier, you are the first point of contact with our customers. Your positive first impression is important, impactful, and sets the standard, making our customers feel welcomed every single time! This role inputs orders, processes payments, helps ensure an amazing customer experience, and works as a team player to maintain restaurant cleanliness!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
We have Carnitas El Artista’s PASSION for our community, our business, our food, and our customers
Greet customers upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service
Take accurate orders using Point-of-Sales system and provide accurate change
Always check food orders for accuracy before it is served to the customer
Be dependable and on time for all scheduled shifts
Have a positive and team player attitude
Replenish the salsa bar and ice machine
Keep the refrigerator stocked with refreshments, using the first in, first out rule
Serve the aguas frescas to the customers and keep them all replenished and on ice
Maintain a safe and sanitary environment and perform general cleaning duties of all common areas

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, pull, lift, carry, handle, finger, grasp, feel objects and equipment; reach with hands and arms; communicate, receive/exchange communication and exact change, and walk about the restaurant
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

NECESSARY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: No education is required, however a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
Communication: Ability to speak and read English is required (second language is a plus). Ability to speak effectively with external customers is required.
Competencies: Customer service skills, experience entering orders into a Point-of-Sales (POS) system is preferred.
