Traveling Journeyman Electrician

Position:
Vi-Tel Inc is looking to expand our team of experienced Journeyman Electricians for nationwide traveling projects.

Ideal candidates would possess the following:

Candidates MUST have experience in all aspects of the electrical field such as, bending various sizes of conduit, installing conduit including supports and hangers, pulling, and terminating wire, installing fixtures, outlets, and testing wire.

Boom lift/scissor lift experience is required.

Vi-Tel and our clients are looking for candidates who can work with minimal supervision and will pay great attention to detail.

Job Duties/Responsibilities to Include any or all of the following on Commercial Projects in new construction or existing structures:

• Bending and running Conduit of various sizes
• Pulling Wire
• Running MC Cable (flex conduit)
• Wire Terminations, testing, and labeling
• Setting racks/cabinets/breaker boxes
• Installing Lights & Outlets
• Install breakers
• Low Voltage Work
• Operating boom lift or scissor lift
• Reading blueprints
• Communicating with your team and PM’s

Scope of work:

Preforming electrical duties including but limited to bending and running conduit, pulling and terminating wire, testing and labeling wire and junctions.

Operating and working from boom or scissor lifts when required.

Ownership of various electrical and power tools to include but not limited to insulated screwdrivers, side cutters, wire strippers, tester, tape measure, cordless drill, and PPE (hard hat, boots, and safety glasses)

Familiarity with NEC Standards.

Flexibility of working day or night shift depending on client’s needs.

ALL Candidates will be required to do the following:

· Pass pre-employment drug screen

· Pass a background check

· Possess a valid Driver’s License or State ID
