JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver
Compensation: $15.25 per hour / $30 per hour for CDL-certified drivers.
SUMMARY
U-Connect Transportation is looking to hire a Non-emergency Medical Transportation Driver and a CDL Class B/C Driver.
Our drivers provide the transportation of patients/clients to and from hospitals, convalescent facilities, dialysis centers, rehabilitation centers, medical offices and their private residences in a safe, secure and professional manner.
Schedule is flexible. We're looking for: Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Temporary On‐Call. $15.25 per hour to start with plenty of opportunities for growth!
REQUIRENENTS
Exceed minimum age requirement of 23 years.
Must possess a valid New York State Driver’s license, and provide a current 10‐year DMV printout.
No more than 1 moving violation or 1 “at fault” accident within the past 3 years.
Pass a mandatory pre‐employment drug and alcohol screening.
Must pass a mandatory criminal background test.
CPR and First Aid certification is a plus, but not required.
DUTIES AND RRESPONSIBILITIES
Complete daily vehicle pre‐trip and post trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices and cell phones.
Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).
Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
Effectively communicates with dispatch team regarding schedule progress.
Maintain a professional image and attitude in regards to clients and co‐workers.
Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
Must be able to accurately complete daily activity logs & vehicle reports.
Perform all duties as assigned by the management team.
Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.
