Field Technician for Sidewalk Data Collection

We help local government secure its road-repair budget and prioritize maintenance projects, by supporting a data-driven way to assess the condition of its street network and right-of-way assets.

Our pavement and sidewalk management service provide a fast, objective analysis, ensuring that repair and maintenance decisions are based on up-to-date and complete data. We employ 3-D imaging technology to detect and measure road defects, including cracking, bumps, surface distortions and surface texture. Plus, our 360°ree; HD camera will provide optical imagery of the road surface and right-of-way assets such as pavement markings, metal objects, trees and more.

Job Description

The Sidewalk Technician position offers the opportunity to embark on multi-day/week long trips to various municipalities across the country collecting georeferenced image data. Within the project cities or towns, you will be operating our stroller-based mobile image data collection system and walking along our predetermined routes using the ArcGIS Collector app and tablet.

Our ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications.

· Valid driver’s license is a must

· 1 – 3 years’ long distance driving experience

· Safe driving record

. Must be willing to travel

· Basic computer knowledge and experience

· Ability to walk 15 – 24 km a day

· Follow instructions and procedures

· Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks assigned

· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

· Attention to detail and reliability

· Work independently with minimal supervision

· Flexible to sudden changes in scheduling and duties

· High School Diploma/GED

The successful applicant will be working flexible/part-time hours and report to the Data Collection Team Lead. Pay rate starts at $20.00 an hour plus all travel expenses. Position requires driving record check, background check, and a potential pre-employment drug screening.
