CDL A Driver

JCR Excavating, LLC is a small family owned company looking for a CDL Class A Driver with lowboy experience that is responsible and safety conscious. In addition to lowboy, you will also be using a variety of other combinations including side dumps, end dumps, tag trailers, dump trucks and pickup truck/trailer combos to deliver equipment, aggregate and other supplies needed to job sites and/or customers in compliance with all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.

You will be responsible to load, securely tie down and move equipment and materials from site to site. You will also, in addition, perform a variety of tasks relating to day-to-day transportation, issue, receipt, and delivery of these items. This position will also perform various “shop” duties including maintenance of equipment and trucks, cleaning, handling and moving supplies.

May also labor or operate equipment (if qualified) as needed at job sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid CDL Class A Driver License.
• Must be able to obtain or currently have a CDL Medical Card.
• 5+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
• Skilled in a variety of truck/trailer combinations specifically lowboy and dump boxes.
• Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
• Map reading and route planning experience.

• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Experience with operating heavy equipment (loader, skidloader, etc) preferred.
• Experience with basic diesel mechanics in repair and maintenance preferred.
