Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

Commercial Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance company in Altamonte Springs, Florida area is seeking an experienced Crew Leader with at least 2 years of verifiable industry experience and a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Salary based on experience and ranges from $18 to $20 per hour for qualified applicants.

Position is full-time Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Work day starts promptly at 6:30 am. Some overtime may be required.

Qualifications: All applicants MUST:

• Have a valid Florida Driver’s License, clean driving record, and be insurable by our carrier. Candidates must have the maturity, good judgment, and experience to safely drive commercial vehicles, trucks, and trailers.
• Display and instill in others a “can-do” positive attitude, lead a team of crew members, act as an efficient time manager, and work as a team player.
• Have a strong work ethic with a track record of honesty and integrity.
• Be able and willing to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. 
• Be able to safely operate a variety of equipment, such as mowers, blowers, weed-eaters, edgers, etc., as well as all tools to prep soil for plant placement or replacement.

Job Duties:

• Actively contribute to production while training, guiding, and directing crew members.
• Assist with daily scheduling and regularly monitor daily work-flow to ensure jobs move in accordance with schedule.
• Professionally interact with property managers if needed.
• Ensure on a daily basis that vehicles are equipped with all tools, materials, and equipment needed for each job.
• Wear company uniform and assigned safety equipment and ensure that all crew members do the same.

Job Requirements:

• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Able to work outdoors at a fast pace in heat, humidity, cold, rain, dust and noise. Job requires energy and stamina. Able to regularly lift 50 lbs. throughout the workday.
