NOW HIRING! Nitto is seeking an experienced Electrician (Electrical Maintenance Mechanic) to join our Manufacturing Maintenance Department for our swing shift (1 week first shift, next week 2nd shift).

Position Summary
The Electrician responsibilities include maintaining and supporting all electrical and electronic plant equipment. Under general supervision, perform high quality-level work in the installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment, and systems in an industrial manufacturing facility; and perform related work as required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Supports and maintains all production facilities and equipment.
- Troubleshoots equipment and facility problems and repairs as necessary.
- Prepares material for preventive and predictive maintenance for plant equipment.
- Supports design, fabrication, and installation of new production equipment.
- Supports modifications to existing equipment.
- Supports modifications to existing control and data acquisition systems
- Responds to off-shift call-ins to perform repairs to critical equipment.
- Ensures the plant maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Works safely and wears required protective equipment.
- Follows all standard operating procedures to optimize equipment performance, ensure compliance to government regulations, and the safety of the employees.
- Understanding electrical schematics and wiring diagram.
- Be familiar with NEC, wiring electrical equipment, electrical power distribution.
- Be familiar with the calibration of plant equipment.
- May perform other functions that may be assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 – 7 years’ experience in a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing facility operations setting; knowledge of packaging equipment, conveyors, extruders preferred.
- Experience maintaining and installing equipment such as PLC, sensors, and other automation equipment.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade; computer logic and programming; inspection of identification and knowledge of all electrical distribution systems (24 volts DC to 480 volts AC); methods and practices following in the maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment.
