Infant Teacher

Concord Children's Academy is hiring an Infant Teacher. The position available is part-time, Monday through Friday, the hours are 1 pm to 6  pm. We have two infant classrooms, a younger and older class. The position available is in the younger infant room.

We are a large, privately owned education based preschool. Our school has 13 classrooms, 3 playgrounds, a full service kitchen, a Sensory/Tactile room and a Dance Studio! Our children participate in Soccer Shots and Mr. Music at no additional cost to our families. We have a long-term administrative staff and we are looking to add creative and loving early childhood teachers to our team!

Preferred Applicants:

• Has NC Early Childhood Credentials
• Current SIDS Training and First Aid/CPR Training
• Has at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child-care facility
• Has current NC Criminal Background Check Qualifying letter, TB Test & Physical- or is able to complete all required pre-employment paperwork
• Has knowledge and understanding of children ages 8 weeks-1 year of age and enjoys working with young children
• Gets along well with others and is able to work in a team setting
• Is reliable and able to maintain good attendance

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a nurturing and fun classroom environment for students, provide high quality learning experiences for young children.

• Create theme-based lesson plans, appropriate for their age group
• Manage the classroom schedule and daily needs of students
• Communicate with parents through the Brightwheel app with messages, pictures and notes daily
• Maintain a clean & attractive classroom
• Follow NC Licensing & Health and Sanitation regulations
• Track children's growth and progress throughout the school year through portfolios
• Build positive relationships with co-workers and parents
• Participate in trainings and staff meetings as required
