CDL Driver

Ashland Propane, Inc., a leading supplier of propane for industrial, construction, and residential use, is seeking a dependable propane delivery driver for our Herscher plant. The CDL driver will provide safe, prompt, courteous delivery of propane to homes and commercial accounts and be the primary point of contact for our customers. The candidate must have a clean, personable appearance and possess an positive attitude towards safety, customer service and employee team work.

Driver is responsible for the safe operation of a local propane delivery route consisting of multiple daily bulk propane or cylinder deliveries to our industrial, commercial, construction and residential customers. Driver is tasked with the transfer and unloading of propane in a safe and timely manner while being a professional representative of Ashland Propane to our customers. Driver must adhere to strict DOT regulations and organizational policies as well as state and local driving rules. Driver will insure trucks are operation efficiently by conducting pre trip and in route safety inspections as required. Finally driver must accurately complete all paperwork including trip reports, delivery tickets and other forms as required.

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

1. CDL class A or B with a clean driving record. Hazmat, tanker and air brakes endorsement required.
2. Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and Homeland Security Background Checks.
3. Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol tests.
4. Good interpersonal skills, team player attitude, willingness to take direction from Plant Manager.
5. Ability to lift heavy objects.
6. Ability to work outside in varying weather and driving conditions.
7. Ability to work flexible schedules including after hours emergency calls if necessary.
8. Ability to maintain good customer relations, communicating clearly and effectively with new and existing customers.
9. Ability to communicate daily with office personnel and management regarding work activities
