Lead and Assistant Teachers

Holding Hands Daycare Center in Odenton, MD, is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as Lead and Assistant Teachers for our diverse classrooms, including preschool, toddler, and infant programs! Job Duties:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company standards.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities tailored to each classroom's needs.
• Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for children, parents, and visitors. Supervise and actively engage children during all activities, providing positive guidance and support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment at all times. Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Regularly communicate with parents, addressing concerns and providing updates on their child's progress.
• Accurately completes all classroom paperwork, e.g, accident reports, attendance records.
• Work closely with assistant teachers and the daycare center director to address any classroom issues or concerns

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Competitive hourly wage (depending on experience and qualifications)

Qualifications:

• No previous experience required; we welcome individuals with a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a willingness to learn and grow in their role
• Passionate about working with children of all ages
• Ability to build strong rapport and trust with children
• Positive and patient demeanor, able to handle challenging situations with calmness and empathy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
