Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Proven ability to meet industry claims administration standards and timeframes
• Administers claims per the California Workers’ Compensation laws
• Maintains diary and mail to be current
• Adheres to client excess reporting and requests in a timely manner
• Prepares Plan of Action towards closure on every open claim
• Handles litigated files, when applicable
• Manages subrogation aspects of a claim
• Builds and maintains working relationship with client
• Completes and attends claim (file) reviews as required

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have a State of California Self-Insurance Administrator’s Certificate
• Must possess proven organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Minimum of 3 years of indemnity adjusting experience with indemnity/litigated caseload of at least 150 claims
• Public Municipality and/or School District experience preferred
• College degree preferred
• WCCA and WCCP designations preferred

At this time, we have an immediate position available in our Ontario office for a Senior WC Adjuster with extensive school district experience/Education Code, strong diary management, high level of service, and proactive claim resolution/closure skills, to manage approximately 125 claims.
