Electrical Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

In accordance with written and oral instruction solder/de-solder surface mount components in a production and/or electronics lab

Essential duties:

1. Troubleshoot/ diagnose PCB and related hardware
2. Hand solder fine pitched devices and follow rework instructions for a variety of electronic products
3. Build, test, and calibrate production items per written instructions
4. Maintain and produce calibrations and certifications
5. Maintain production schedules and manage time effectively
6. Final inspection of one’s own work
7. Keep equipment and area clean, orderly, and safe
8. Documentation and repair of returned units
9. Use support equipment with electronics for a variety of operations on production work
10. Knowledge of blueprints and schematics required
11. Any and all other duties as assigned

Knowledge of:

Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency counter, etc. Microsoft Word and Excel

Skills/Ability to:

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Some judgement required to ensure performed assigned duties correctly and safely for self and others
• Concentrated mental and visual attention and manual dexterity required
