Metal Finisher- Production Specialist

Responsibilities:

- Utilizing facility machinery and equipment, the metal finisher is responsible for fabricating and finishing metal product components to meet production requirements. This includes TIG welding/spot welds, as well as surface preparation and application of hot/cold patinas.

- You will operate hands-on equipment/machinery such as sand blasters, vibratory finishers, drill press, band saws, hand tools, pneumatic and electrical tools. Conduct daily maintenance and inspection of this equipment, and report any concerns to supervisor promptly to avoid unnecessary downtime.

-Perform paint booth operations (HVLP), including prepping and spraying product, cleaning, and maintenance.

-Work cooperatively with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities, perform assembly operations, to meet individual production requirements for your specialty area, but also to collaborate as a team to reach the overall production goals of the company.

- Conduct independent inspection of your work area and supplies, communicating needs and concerns promptly.

-Follow safety procedures and practices as required by Liberty Art Works, as well as local and federal rules and regulations.

- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor if urgent aid is needed in other departments. We strive to maintain an environment that empowers collaboration, critical thinking, and contributing to the team effort, ensuring success for all employees of our company.

Qualifications:

- One year experience in metal finishing, or equivalent technical educational background. Experience related to Forming/Stamping, or Foundry Manufacturing environment will take precedence.

-General knowledge regarding the use and maintenance of metalworking machinery and tools.

-Past welding experience-TIG preferred.

-The physical ability to perform a combination of standing, sitting, and lifting for 8 hours a day is required. Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination is imperative.

-We value self-awareness and the ability to work independently at a pace that is productive while maintaining attention to detail that maintains the excellent quality of our products.

-A reliable record of good attendance and punctuality is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

-Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (40 hours per week if full-time). We are proud to offer a job that does not require weeknights, weekends, or holiday shifts, and supports a good work-life balance.

-We strive to always provide hourly wages and salaries that are above the national average as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for metal finishers and other specialty positions within the metalworking industry. Pay is based on experience, with pay increases and upward mobility opportunities offered based on performance. We want our employees to “thrive, not just survive”.
