Job Description
The Engineer Two provides technical knowledge for repairs and maintain all hotel systems, equipment and physical features.
Core Responsibilities: Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received. Determine defects, trouble-shoot malfunctions, take immediate necessary corrective action if guest related/top priority or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record same on the departmental work order form. Follow specific departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work. Comply with the latest local, county, state and federal governmental codes, laws and requirements. Coordinate with other department personnel such as electrician, carpenter, painter and night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work. Assist in training mechanical level and new department associates on equipment and daily function of the hotel. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on an on-going basis. Efficiently maintain pools, filters and pumps on a daily basis. Efficiently adjust televisions and program Spectra dyne boxes. Carefully and efficiently paint, stain or repair interior and exterior finishes. Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed. Record daily, weekly and monthly temperature and pressure readings. Efficiently and accurately install and repair carpets, ensuring all safety hazards are attended to immediately. Be familiar with and maintain all fire safety equipment operations and implement emergency procedures when required. Respond to any HVAC calls or room calls as a priority. Produce accurate logs, charts and preventive maintenance forms.
