Maintenance Worker

The Engineer Two provides technical knowledge for repairs and maintain all hotel systems, equipment and physical features.

Core Responsibilities:  Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.  Determine defects, trouble-shoot malfunctions, take immediate necessary corrective action if guest related/top priority or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record same on the departmental work order form.  Follow specific departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.  Comply with the latest local, county, state and federal governmental codes, laws and requirements.  Coordinate with other department personnel such as electrician, carpenter, painter and night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work.  Assist in training mechanical level and new department associates on equipment and daily function of the hotel.  Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on an on-going basis.  Efficiently maintain pools, filters and pumps on a daily basis.  Efficiently adjust televisions and program Spectra dyne boxes.  Carefully and efficiently paint, stain or repair interior and exterior finishes.  Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.  Record daily, weekly and monthly temperature and pressure readings.  Efficiently and accurately install and repair carpets, ensuring all safety hazards are attended to immediately.  Be familiar with and maintain all fire safety equipment operations and implement emergency procedures when required.  Respond to any HVAC calls or room calls as a priority.  Produce accurate logs, charts and preventive maintenance forms.
