Motorhomes of Texas, a luxury motorhome dealership, is growing and in need of Service Technicians with A/V and electronics skills. We are looking for individuals with good mechanical ability to diagnose and repair RV systems and accessories. The technician plays a very important role in our business by providing excellent repair and maintenance services of luxury motorhomes.

We are seeking candidates who are dedicated to and take pride in their work. You may have not considered working in the RV industry before, but if you have applicable A/V or electronics experience we encourage you to apply. This position is hands-on and requires an individual who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, pays attention to detail and can clearly communicate information.

We offer signing bonuses for candidates that have prior Motorhome/RV Technician experience.

What you will do:

• Accurately diagnose electronic problems and determine how to correct them, checking wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary
• Update system software and confirm functionality.
• Perform proactive and emergency repair and maintenance on a variety of electronic audio-visual components.
• OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) and CAN (Controller Area Network) tool use, experience, and understanding to troubleshoot system issues.
• Install equipment and accessories such as stereos, navigation equipment, communication equipment, and satellite systems.
• Inspect and test electrical or electronic systems to locate, diagnose, and repair malfunctions.
• Splice wires and solder connections to fixtures and equipment.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clock procedures.
• Document work performed on the repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
• Ensure the customer’s motorhome is returned to them as clean as it was prior to service.

What are we looking for?

• Good disposition and excellent attitude
• Dependable, thorough and detail Dependable, thorough and detail orientated.
• Experience with plumbing, woodwork or carpentry, mechanical and electrical work including 12V and 110V a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Applicants should have some of their own tools.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks and drug test.
