KIDS PARTY AND PLAY COORDINATOR
Job Description:
Coordinators work within the business interacting with children and redirecting play to encourage a safe and happy play place for kids. They manage the use of the equipment and gently guide children on the best way to use them. They are also responsible for coordinating parties in the party rooms and taking the families under their wings to create a special birthday experience.
Coordinators are responsible for cleaning the equipment at the end the day and at scheduled times during opening hours according to the instructions given. Coordinators are required to rotate roles; on the floor, party hosting, behind the cash counter and restocking.
Primary Responsibilities
Managing the play flow on the floor to stay within the head count limit and to encourage safe play with each other and with the equipment.
Hosting and preparing birthday parties. Playing a part in creating a great birthday experience for families and making sure everyone stays within their time.
Cleaning the store and the play structure according to the instructions provided and restocking and caring after the lounge area and bathroom areas.
Risk Management and Operational Excellence
•Ensures customers leave happy and will return
•Promotes birthday parties
•Adheres to safety regulations and rules and manages accordingly
•Operating a cash drawer
•Following instructions and sticking to a schedule for the structure and sand box cleaning
•Coordinating and gently encouraging safe and inclusive play amongst the little ones.
•Successfully resolve customer issues and escalations in a timely and professional manner
•Responsible for associate and customer safety
Required skills:
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with others outside of reporting authority to achieve shared goals
- Proven customer service skills and the ability to resolve problems independently or escalate as needed to promote customer satisfaction
- At least 1 year training on a cash drawer or some cash experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to easily engage others in dialogue, convey sincere interest in building/deepening relationships, and demonstrate a commitment to providing personalized service
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities amd prioritize
- Strong communication skills (including verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills
- Proficiency in computer skills and professional programs (for example, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to pass pre-employment assessments and compliance requirements
- Availability to work weekends and/or extended hours as required
