Betty’s Promos Plus is a family owned boutique retail store located in Orlando’s SoDo District. We specialize in making apparel and accessories for historically African-American Fraternities and Sororities. Being family owned, we are a very tight knit but dedicated team. We sell a large variety of ready-made Greek Paraphernalia and also offer custom embroidery services for our clients, which include individuals buying for themselves or others, local chapters of the Divine 9 Fraternities and Sororities, and other organizations and businesses.

Founded in 1988, Betty’s Promos Plus opened our first retail location in 2014 and we plan to expand our footprint in the future. Although we have been in business for over 30 years, we feel that there are still plenty of opportunities for our business to grow and to learn new ways to improve our processes.

Job Overview

As a retail store associate, you will wear many hats. Betty’s Promos Plus sells apparel and accessories for members of 8 organizations and has hundreds of products for each different organization. Your primary task will be take inventory of all of the products in our store and in our warehouse and ensure that inventory levels are maintained properly. When new inventory is received, you will ensure that inventory received matches the inventory ordered and affix necessary labels and barcodes onto products. When products go out of stock or have low stock, you will communicate to the owner so that we can reorder. Finally, you will also ensure that products are displayed properly on the shelf so that customers can easily see/access them.

As a tight-knit team, your role will also require you to assist with other tasks needed for the business, including but not limited to:

• Online order fulfillment tasks such as picking products, packing orders, and adding branded labels prior to shipment
• Flipping, folding, and packaging apparel for display
• Merchandising products on the shelf and keeping display units tidy
• Working with in-store customers and answering questions

While this is a part-time role, we are looking for someone to take on more responsibilities and grow into a full time salaried role in the future.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable personal transportation
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to 30 pounds
• Familiarity with NPHC/Divine 9 Fraternities and Sororities strongly preferred
• This role requires standing for significant periods of time
• Can work during our normal business hours:
  • Wed-Fri 12-5
  • Sat 12-4
  • Additional hours Mon & Tues based on needs and availability
• Familiarity with Shopify preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Stocky inventory management app preferred but not required
