Position Overview

The Director of Health Commodity Compliance is responsible for mitigating risk to the project, Palladium, its partners, and the USG by ensuring that systems and processes are carried out in ways that are consistent with USG and Palladium regulations, guidelines and best practices. Because the potential risk is related to the procurement and shipment of commodities, this will be the major focus of the Director of Health Commodity Compliance attention. Reporting to the Project Director, the Director of Health Commodity Compliance will provide direct supervision to the Quality Assurance Manager and the Compliance Managers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the function that ensures that the quality of the commodities procured by the project meet generally recognized standards and are not inferior or counterfeit.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for fraud and other investigations that are a potential breach of the USG and Palladium rules and regulations and Palladium Code of Conduct.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all project audits both internal and external.
  • When required, provides training to staff on project compliance.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in compliance, risk management and medicine quality assurance.
  • Experience developing a comprehensive compliance system with policies and procedures which incorporate procurement industry best practices, and address employee hiring, code of conduct and project financial management.
  • Experience with international health commodity procurement
  • Extensive knowledge of USG procurement and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Familiarity with USG audit guidelines and procedures.
  • Experience providing staff training and development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and high comfort level writing and presenting data and information in a compelling way to difference audiences.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and ability to communicate across technical disciplines and non-technical audience required.
  • Ability to speak and write French a plus.
