Job Description:

This position works directly with welcoming our guests to Hersheypark! This includes working in the Front Gate Operations and also assisting our guests throughout the park. Often times you will be the first point of contact with a guest arriving at the park.  Whether it’s their first visit or 1000th, you have the opportunity to make a lasting memory for their family. You will assist our guests with maximizing their day and also support data collection by walking throughout Hersheypark. This position is great for anyone who enjoys interacting with a diverse group of people and is upbeat and outgoing.

Positions are currently available for employees age 16 or older who are available to work throughout the fall for September weekends, HERSHEYPARK in the Dark and Christmas Candylane (September, October, November and December).

Job Functions:

Arrival Experience Attendants may be required to do one or all of the following tasks depending on the assigned job:

  • Welcome guests to the Park
  • Wish guests a safe trip home when leaving
  • High guest contact position, directing and managing a high guest flow
  • Collect survey data from guests with various technological pieces
  • Responsible for guest admissions, exits, and re-entries at Hersheypark main gates 
  • Providing guests with handstamps for re-entry
  • Communicate and work with other departments effectively to ensure the best possible experience for our guests
  • Pick up trash/clean Park benches            
  • Assist with various Park programs
  • Provide guest transports to and from various locations on property
  • Learn operational standards for the Guest Experience Department 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age on the date of applying or turning 16 by November 30, 2019.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines. Please note some departments may be more stringent on the appearance guidelines due to business need.
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work consistent weekends throughout the shoulder season events (Hersheypark in the Dark/ Christmas Candylane). Shifts to include a rotation of mornings and evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.
  • Physical requirements include finger dexterity, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and communicating.
    • Sitting Occasional (<33%)
