What You’ll Do:

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in managing the fast-paced operations and staff of a Wendy’s restaurant. The Assistant Manager will:

  • Maintain fast, accurate service and positive guest relations
  • Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to meet budgeted sales goals
  • Manage food, labor, paper costs, and other controllable expenses
  • Execute company policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product, and equipment
  • Monitor inventory levels through ordering to ensure product availability
  • Manage and maintain safe working conditions
  • Manage crew employees in a manner that maximizes crew retention
  • Assist the General Manager in developing Crew Members and Shift Supervisors, to prepare them for growth within the company
  • Interview and recommend team members for selection in hiring
  • Provide proper training of team members, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action
  • Uphold the company’s social responsibility values and ethical practices

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (some college a plus)
  • One or more years' restaurant experience
  • Open / flexible work availability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage your own team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

All employees in a management or supervisory position within Wendy's Restaurants must possess a Serve-Safe Certification within 6 months of their hire date. May also need to obtain state-specific certifications. We will help you obtain these certifications.
