POSITION TITLE:  SCANNING COORDINATOR

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:  Exceed our customers’ evolving expectations by preparing the freshest quality product while providing World Class customer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience.  Our scanning coordinator is responsible for maintaining pricing accuracy throughout the store.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  2. Ability to demonstrate a passion for food through interactive sales techniques.
  3. Must project a clean and professional appearance.

  5. Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
  6. Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
  7. Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize and follow-through.
  8. Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  9. Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.
  10. Must be 18 years of age. 
  11. Must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Exceed our customers’ evolving expectations by preparing the freshest quality product while providing World Class customer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience. 
  2. Use 10 Foot RuleÔ techniques to build relationships, educate our customers, and create sales.
  3. Maintain pricing pro-actively on sales items, new items and changes by using the reporting tools available.
  4. Perform daily review of function and maintenance of all consumer price scanners.
  5. Scan in all weekly flyer sales and coupon books (if applicable).
  6. Follow Daily Scanning Coordinator checklist.
  7. Correct pricing errors as indicated on scanning accuracy slips.
  8. Complete weekly Aisle Scan; check as assigned for pricing and itemizer accuracy.
  9. Ensure daily communications to scales have occurred; resolve any issues.
  10. Perform file/system maintenance as directed by In Store Systems.
  11. Engage in and encourage continuous improvement through ideas and innovation (e.g., Group Problem SolvingÔ (GPS) and Keep ThinkingÔ).
  12. Adhere to all government employment and labor regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures (e.g., employment laws concerning minors, harassment, discrimination, etc.).
  13. Adhere to all government foods safety and sanitation regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures (e.g., processing, cleaning, culling, coding, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, etc.).
  14. Adhere to all government safety regulations, as well as all Company policies and procedures (e.g., proper use of equipment, cleaning, straightening, sweeping, clearing unsafe conditions, etc.).
  15. Adhere to all Company loss prevention policies and procedures (e.g., controlling waste and utilities, damaged goods, reporting theft, etc.).
  16. Adhere to all Company procedures regarding store conditions as outlined in 5S (Sort and remove, Shine and inspect, Set locations and visual cues, Systematize, Stay the course).
  17. Complete all training requirements by respective due dates.

 

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS as needed:

  1. Bag groceries, retrieve carriages, return back-shop, and perform other tasks.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Medium work: Lifting 50 lb. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  2. Continuously standing, walking, fingering, and handling. 
  3. Frequently bending, reaching, balancing, and feeling.
  4. Occasionally squatting, climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
