Line Cook

We are a delivery and carryout only operation that operates breakfast and lunch catering during the day and the restaurant currently operates in the evenings and late nights. We're in need of someone flexible and knowledgeable of the quick service restaurant atmosphere- able to adapt to a fast workflow.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables and preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately and make appropriate labels
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

• Must demonstrate fryer, prep and grill experience. **Must be skilled in cleaning deep fryer and grill.
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Able to read tickets and prepare items accordingly
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
