Cake Decorator

Responsibilities

• Decorate and ice regular bakery items according to bakery standards and in a timely manner.
• Ensure customer's cake & cheesecake orders are prepared on schedule
• Neatly slice cheesecakes & cakes according to bakery standards.
• Communicate with customers regarding special decorated items
• Make different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake type.
• Ensure the display refrigerator is cleaned, polished, and fully stocked with cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Maintain quality standards for cake slices and other desserts.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Prior decorating or experience icing cakes
• The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools
• Excellent time management skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Be able to produce in a production environment and be able to meet time requirements.
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to multi-task
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors
